A MESSAGE FROM THE FAMILY

Josie and I can't say enough of the love and support we have received from family and friends this past week. The calls, messages, and heartfelt comments here online have helped us in many ways. Much love and appreciation to everyone! His favorite hobby was saltwater fishing and I always told him to become the president of the Arizona Salt Water Fishing Club and schedule trips to the ocean for other land-locked Arizonians who also loved saltwater fishing. Joel had a love for animals small and large and was an avid fan of the now Las Vegas Raiders and baseball with love for his home team the Los Angeles Dodgers and he adopted my team the New York Yankees. My wife and I are deeply saddened and heartbroken by the loss of our son and currently experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions. We have received many messages and an outpouring of love and prayers. We will focus on keeping his memory alive in our minds and hearts. Much love to all! Joel Cuevas, age 33, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Joel was born March 21, 1988 in Los Angeles, California.

Joel is survived by his stepfather Wilson Lee and his mother Josephine Medrano-Lee; his child Joelle Cuevas, The Medrano Family, Acuna Family and Cuevas Family.

Joel was a machinist by trade and had a strong love for family and animals of all shapes and sizes. some of Joel's special interests and hobbies included Saltwater fishing, Raider football. Lakers basketball and N.Y.Yankee baseball.

A funeral service will occur Friday, April 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Johns the Evangelist Catholic Church, 602 W Ajo Way, Tucson, AZ 85713. A graveside service will occur Friday, April 1, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at South Lawn Crematory, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
