Jimmie Charles Mitchell, 83, of Tucson, AZ, passed away October 15, 2023. He was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on December 21, 1939. Jim graduated from high school in 1957 and moved to Tucson. He married Myrna Mitchell (Williams) on July 2, 1961, who he met in church. Jim had a career in construction, home building and investment properties. He was a member of the First Church of God for over 50 years. Jim had a passion for wood craftsmanship with cabinets, furniture and stained glass art. He also enjoyed “fixing” just about anything and helping people and seeking no credit.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Myrna, mother and father, Frank and Irene Mitchell. Jim is survived by his sons, Steven (Janet), David, Greg (Laura); grandchildren, Daniel, Tim, Serin (Michelle), Chris (Vanessa), Zachary, Savannah, Skyler, Brooke, Kayla (Joel), Kyle (Catherine); brother, Don Mitchell and sister, Kay Green.
He will be greatly missed. There is a private family celebration of Jim’s life planned for 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 28, 2023 at his home.
