was born on July 27, 1942 in Albuquerque New Mexico to the proud parents of the late Addie Lee and Andrew Jackson. Jerry moved to Tucson, AZ at an early age. He graduated from Tucson High School in 1963. He attended college and joined the U. S. Army February 20,1967 where his job was a supply clerk. After serving in the U.S. Army, Jerry worked for the State of Arizona as a Highway Maintenance Worker and retired after 22 years. Jerry was married to Veda Jackson and together they provided the best possible life for their 6 children: Jerry Jackson Jr. (deceased), Nathaniel Jackson, Ozella Thompson, Vickie Morgan, Parnell Morgan, Johnny Steadman, all in Tucson Arizona, and Florence Drew Jackson (mother Diane Hill) from Sacramento California. Preceding him in death was his wife Veda and his two sons Johnny and Jerry Jr., Sisters Florence Young and Laura Ward and Six brothers, Noel, Andrew, Lorenzo, Johnny, David and Clyde Jackson. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his grand-children, great grand-children and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews along with his best friends Mildred Griffin, Barry Hopkins and Milton Simeon.
