I just found out that Jeff was gone today.  I am so sorry.  I know what a wonderful person he was.  I know how much he loved his family.  This is just heartbreaking.   I am just full of sadness for his wife, kids, and brothers, and his entire family.  He was special

Jeff was referred to me by my friend Bob Helmig to paint our house.  Jeff showed up with a huge smile, twinkling eyes, and I could just tell he had a kind heart.  His team was very loyal to him and we had planned to have him do some remodeling for us.  I just felt that Jeff was a kind, solid, reliable guy.  He expressed his faith in God to me.  I was so surprised to hear that he took his own life.  I cannot imagine what kind of pain he was enduring while he seemingly continued to live a  normal life.   I feel immense sorrow for his family, friends and coworkers.  I pray that you all take special care of yourselves as you grieve the loss of this incredibly good man.  Please try to work through your guilt, because often suicide comes as a huge shock.  Men are especially good at masking their inner pain.  My heart and prayers are with Jeff’s family and friends.  Take care of each other.  Draw strength from one another, because truthfully, there’s nothing you could have done to prevent this tragedy, I am so sorry for your loss of this sweet, kind, extraordinary man, Jeff Metzger.
