Jean was born on December 9, 1929 in Bath, Ohio to Nell (Kyer) and Arthur Moon. She was married to Robert R. White on January 15, 1948 until his death in June 2002.
Jean was a small business owner, running an antique shop for many years in the Fort Mohave area. Jean was an animal lover throughout her life. She had horses, dogs, and cats over the years. She took in multiple strays that showed up at her door and gave them a loving home, the last being her beloved dog, Freckles. She was also an avid card and board game player, taking no mercy on opponents in SkipBo, Phase Ten, or Scrabble.
Jean is survived by her only daughter, Linda (Larry) Burkett, granddaughters Wendy (Rick) Torres, Cherilyn (Barrett) Marthaler, and Jennifer (Steve) Linville, great grandchildren Maya, Dominic, Lainey, and Vincent, and brother Larry Moon. She is also survived by brother-in-law Ron Ray, niece and nephew Jeff and Cynthia, sisters-in-law, Jeannette (Ramon) Weaver and Peg Nettleton. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, parents and sister, Mary Ray.
The family had a small, private service on Monday, March 7 at East Lawn Palms Mortuary. She will be buried in Medina, Ohio on her family plot next to her husband and parents.
