As he grew older Jacob excelled athletically. His success in sports can be directly attributed to his work ethic and his nat-ural athletic ability. In football Jacob was legendary, setting Santa Rita High School's record with 2,085 yards, 19 touch-downs and 333 carries to become both an All-Division and All-Southern Arizona team select for 2004. Jacob held Tuc-son's single game rushing record with 399 yards and six touchdowns in 2005. He was also named 7th in the city's his-tory for 2000 rushing yards in one season.Jacob also was a all around athlete he played soccer from the age of 5 and was great at it. he played basketball and played baseball all the way to his 11th grade. Learning to live without the sound of Jacob's voice, the com-fort of his hugs and the smile in his eyes will be difficult.
