Jacob (Jake) Hines 91, passed away on October 7, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings and son-in law, Alfonso East. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ernestine Mona Hines; daughter, Gloria East (Alfonso) and son, Eric Hines (Miriam); his grandchildren, great- grandchildren and many family members. He served in the Army 23 years and retired as Master Sergeant in 1965. A true soldier; he earned nine Ribbons, 11 battle stars and a Purple Heart. Once retired he continued to work as a Skycap for American Airlines and then a bus driver for SUSD. He loved to spend time at DAV Chp 28. He was an amazing man. Dad you will forever live in our hearts. We love you dearly. Dance with the Angels. Visitation Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and sermon from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTHLAWN.
