Irene C Harrison

TUCSON - Irene Harrison, 98, died peacefully of natural causes November 23, 2014, at Amore de Madre. She was born July 4, 1916, in Washington D.C., the daughter of Alphanse W. Gessner and Blanche Gatewood.

Irene was a loving wife and mother to three children. In 1948, she and her husband Charles E. Harrison moved cross country to settle in Arizona where they built a home, raised their family and had more than 60 wonderful years together before Charles' death in 1995.

In addition to her husband Charles, Irene was predeceased by her daughter Linda Bremer.

Irene is survived by her two sons, Donald L. Harrison and his wife Jan Harrison and Charles T. Harrison and his wife Annette Harrison, all of whom reside in Tucson. She is also survived by several grandchildren including, Cindy Anderson of Reno, NV, Cathy McEachron and Thomas Harrison of Florida, Rhonda Paladino of Showlow, AZ, Jacqueline McAbee of Tucson and Laura Kittell of Tucson. In addition, Irene is survived by 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Friends and family are encouraged to pay their respects on November 25, at Funaria Del Angel South Lawn, 5401 S. Park Ave., 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held Wednesday November 26, 2014 at 10:00am at Funeraria Del Angel South Lawn with Interment to follow in South Lawn Cemetery.
