I was fortunate to have known Hubert as my supervisor.  He was always fair and good natured.  He was one of the agents that made working at Nogales station memorable.  I enjoyed working with Hubert.  My condolences and prayers to the family. Rest in peace my friend.

My condolences to the family of SBPA (Retired) Hubert Odom.  I pray that your grief is mellowed by knowing so many of us remember him fondly, and as a contributor to so many adventures “in the day.”  Man, the list of surviving  ‘Nogalitos’ grows shorter!  Anyone who worked with him, has a plethora of “Hugh Odom stories.”
I first met Hubert in August 1978…and will never forget that first encounter!  He was a character right out of a Joseph Wambaugh book, and lived his role to the fullest.  We’ll tip one in remembrance of the man.

Rest In Peace Hubert. I enjoyed working under your supervision on several occasions during my years in Nogales. You had sound knowledge, a unique wickedly sharp sense of humor and a splendid fluency in the Spanish language. El Corrido del Pistolero Puto Rangel stands as your classic. Vaya Con Dios. And have a cold one up yonder with Rangel.

My condolences to the family and friends of a man that many respected and had fond memories of him. I got to work with Hue and enjoyed our chats, disagreements and laughters. I missed his wisdom, his approach to life and sense of humor. I will always remember his saying "Vamos Churro." Rest in Peace my friend.

Missing you already Hubert.  You were an outstanding post academy law and spanish instructor.  You made the learning process serious but fun.  Working with you, the time always flew, and it was enjoyable.  My condolences Marla and Mary Jo.  Hubert always spoke with a lot of love for his children.  You took care of him until the very end.  Rest in Peace Hubert.

Hugh was my training instructor for six months after graduating the Border Patrol Academy in 1979. I will never forget and will always appreciate the positive influence he had on my career. My sincerest condolences on your loss.
