Howard Bernstein

My beloved Howard, our Dad, Da Papa was an extraordinary man. Howard loved his family with all of his heart and was the happiest when he was surrounded by the laughter, love, and chaos that a large family generates. Sandy and Howard met as teenagers and spent over 66 years together, side-by-side, companions, and true friends. Their love affair was pure and true, and the legacy he leaves will continue to shine through their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for eternity. We all carry memories of special times spent in his presence and we will carry those in our hearts forever.

Howard loved deeply, made a friend of every person he met and used his charm and quick wit to make everyone feel like family. He was a good man, a kind and gentle man, who will be missed every minute of every day. We will do our best to honor his spirit and the light he shared with us all.

Three generations of children have spent time with their Papa hanging out at the cabin, sharing meals and countless scoops of ice cream and feeling the love that he had for each and every one of us. We are the lucky ones to be connected to this incredible man. My Honey, Dad, Da Papa, you will be missed and we love you

A funeral service for Howard will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 from 10:45 AM to 12:00 PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712, followed by a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
