Hilda, while still young joined her parents and siblings in the United States in order to live a wonderful life full of great opportunities. She was known for enjoying and helping her mother and father with her 4 youngest siblings and a few nephews. As a teen she met her best friend Mary Lou who helped her become more sociable and later at the age of 19 she met her husband Paul Martinez and became his beautiful wife. She prided herself as a devoted wife and a stay at home mom to her 2 children. Together they built a strong foundation and lived many years in Thatcher, AZ. Hilda never stopped learning in life as she continued her education by learning English so she can become a United States Citizen which came true in 2000. She also enrolled at Eastern Arizona College where she took upholstery and carpentry classes which allowed her to restore and build furniture. As an added skill, she also enjoyed doing masonry work inside and outside the home. Her love of gardening also allowed her to bring additional beauty to her home with roses and trees. Ultimately, Hilda enjoyed helping her family and friends in need with all her trade work she learned over the years. Hilda also enjoyed traveling with her family or by going to visit distant family in El Paso, TX and Las Vegas, NV. Hilda went as far as Round Mountain, NV and several towns and cities in Colorado to visit her daughter and grandchildren.
