Greg Balmer of Tucson; Arizona was called home on November 28th, 2022, at the age of 66.
Greg was born May 3rd, 1956, in Dennison, Ohio to Charles and Virginia Balmer and had one sister, Joni.
Greg graduated from Lincoln High School were he met his loving wife, Debbie, of 48 years. Greg and Debbie moved to Tucson in 1977 where he worked for Skeeles Engineering, Coca Cola, and Finley Distributing. Greg and Debbie were blessed with three amazing sons, Scott, Steven, and Shawn and six beloved grandchildren. Greg loved and admired his grandsons and baseball. Whether it was a tournament or a season game, Greg was present and cheering them on.
Greg loved traveling. Each year he would travel to and compete in National Bowling events. His other favorite trips were to baseball tournaments and Rocky Point. The friends he met along the way brought him great joy and happiness. Greg’s other hobbies included collecting yellow M&M and Kyle Busch memorabilia. This led to Greg’s keen EBay shopping skills. Just ask Conner, Colton, and Brayden. If it was out there, Papa could find it on EBay.
Greg is survived by his wife, Debbie; sons Scott (Wendy), Steven (Krista), and Shawn; grandchildren Michael, Bayli, Tyler, Conner, Colton, and Brayden. Greg is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Virginia, and his sister, Joni.
A celebration of Greg’s life will be held on May 3rd 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at East Lawn Palms Cemetery
