And so it began, I met the most beautiful girl in September 1967 and I made our first date on October 1. We saw "Anne of the Thousand Days."
Many more dates, many trials and tribulations, taking her home to meet my family in 1968. We decided we wanted to get married while I was still in the service but I got called away TDY in Spokane, Washington. There I bought our engagement ring and on my return October 16, 1969, I asked the love of my life to marry me. We couldn't wait any longer. We were married on December 20, 1969. That was 53 years ago.
We had our laughs, tears and sorrow. We had one wonderful son, Eric, whom we lost three years ago. We thank Eric and Kathie for all the beautiful grandchildren they gave to us.
Now I say goodbye to the Love of my Life, Lisa, who left peacefully January 2, 2023.
