Grace F Garcia

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and life-long friend peacefully transitioned to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 5, 2020. Grace was born on October 24, 1938 in the small mining town of Ray, Arizona to parents Abundio and Refugio (Cuquita) Fontes. Her family relocated to Tucson, Arizona when she was a toddler. Our mother is reunited with our father Antonio E. Garcia and our big brother Tonito, including countless family members and friends who are living everlasting happiness in Heaven.

Grace is survived by her beloved daughters Anna (Alfonso) Bojorquez, and Patricia (Mark) Garcia. Grace adored her grandchildren Robert (Allie) Solomon, Gabby Garcia, Melissa (David) Valencia, and Jr Bojorquez, along with her three great-grandchildren Anyssa Bojorquez, DJ Valencia, and Christian Valencia.

She was a caring sister to her siblings Ray (Vickie) Fontes, Armando (Tenchi) Fontes, Rebecca Hawk, and Mary Lou Garcia. Grace also cherished her countless nieces and nephews. Additionally, she held close her love for the countless children she cared for, including their parents.

Our mother built many lasting friendships with individuals who we view as family. She guided many of these friends through important milestones in their lives. The love and respect they have for this little woman is evident by the memories they have all shared. One can’t help but smile when thinking of Grace, our Mother. God blessed us with her love, guidance, care, and life-lessons.
