Glenn was born July 25, 1942, in Wichita, Kansas. He is the son of Wallace Sprague and Frances Hellar. He married his loving wife of 52 years, Fran Sprague on November 24, 1967, in Eureka, Kansas.
Surviving family members include wife, Fran Sprague of the home; daughters, Glenda Larkin and Mindy Mills; grandchildren, Savannah Evans, Spencer Gannon, Parker Waite, Summer Jackson and, Sunday Waite; great-grandchildren, Elias Jackson and, Michael Evans. He is proceeded in death by his parents.
Glenn attended High School in El Dorado, Kansas. After graduating high school, he joined the Air Force and went on to graduate from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas with a business degree. Glenn started his career as a tax accountant and later received his master’s degree in accounting from the UofA in Tucson, Arizona.
Growing up, Glenn lived on a farm and was a very active member of 4-H. As a driven young teenager, Glenn raised chickens and had a very successful egg business in which he delivered over 300 eggs a day.
Glenn always had a great passion for writing and singing songs which inspired him to create his own music. He also loved to play guitar and piano. His talent and creativity were admired by not only friends and family, but with those who were fortunate enough to read his column in the Arizona Star newspaper where he wrote weekly poems that were published. Glenn was most known for his infectious spirit. He always had a smile on his face, a positive attitude, and was always willing to help those around him.
Glenn valued his family above all else and made sure his wife, daughters, and grandchildren knew they were loved significantly.
