On Wednesday, July 24, 2019, Gerardo “Jerry” Lopez, husband, father, son and brother, passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident at the age of 47 years. Jerry will be greatly missed by his wife of 22 years, Irene, and their children, Billie and Kateri; granddaughters Azaela and Leilani; by his parents, Gerardo and Refugio Lopez; in-laws, Carlos, and Petra Robles; brother Michael, and sister Diana; nieces, Vianney and Briana. Jerry will be forever remembered by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Jerry was an electrical engineer at Hughes and Raytheon Missile Systems for 22 years. He truly lived life to the fullest, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends or family in need. One of his favorite past times was watching the Pittsburgh Steelers during football season. He was a kid at heart and had a great sense of humor and collected Spiderman memorabilia.
Jerry will not be defined by this tragic accident but by the way he lived his life. He will live on through the lives of the four people that received his organs- heart, liver, and kidneys through organ donation. Even in death, he looked to give to others.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 1st, from 5:00 pm-7:00 p.m., Rosary at 7 pm.-Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church,

A Resurrection Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 2, at 12:00 p.m., at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church,

Memorial donations in memory of Jerry may be made to the Pima Community College Foundation to support education.
