George Edward Tatum, born on August 14, 1945, in Jacksonville, Texas, passed away on October 11, 2023, in Tucson, Arizona. He was the son of Arzula and Charlie Tatum and was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Leonard, Michael, Robert and Frank Tatum. He is survived by his daughter Tracee Tatum-Brown, two grandchildren, his sister Bernice Crenshaw, sister-in-law Cheryl Tatum, great aunt, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
George served proudly in the army branch during the War of Vietnam, where his dedication and courage were recognized and admired by all who knew him. He will forever be honored for his selfless service and his unwavering commitment to his country. George's legacy of bravery and sacrifice will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his extraordinary life.
During his life, George was known for his unwavering loyalty, his generous spirit, and his strong sense of duty. He cherished his family and those who knew him. His memory will continue through his surviving family members.
George will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of crossing paths with him. His legacy of valor and spirit will continue within the hearts of his loved ones and the community. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led and the indelible mark he left on the world. May he rest in peace.

A graveside service for George will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Arizona Veterans Memorial - Marana 15950 N Luckett Rd, Marana, AZ 85653.
