surrounded by family on Augusl 3, 2021 . Gene was
bom June l6,1940. He is predeceased by his loving
wife Delia Martinez and son in law Marcos Romero.
He is survived by his three children David Martinez
(Margo), Gloria Tench (Greg), and Monica Martinez.
He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Gabrielle,
Meghan. Markie, Julie, Marissa, David, and Mario,
seven grand pups and his beloved cat Sammy.
Gene spent his days rooting for the New York
Yankees, watching westerns and spending time with
the family he loved so much. He had the greatest sense
of humor and always had a special nickname for
everyone he ever met. He was our Dad, Tata, and
Brother, and now that he's gone the lights on Calle
Margarita Street will never shine quite the same. He
will be forever loved and eternally remembered
through the lives of his family who will cherish their
memories of him forever.
