Floyd attended Duke University in Durham NC where he trained as a Pathologist Assistant. He enjoyed coaching soccer and track for youth sports organizations. He loved sailing, riding his Harley and traveling in the RV with his wife and three cats.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia who he met at Helldorado Days in 1961 while stationed at Fort Huachuca AZ. He is also survived by his four children, Stephen Courtwright (Carmen), Tony Courtwright (Carolyn), Katherine Widener, and Christine Tibbs (Ron); and eight grandchildren, Nicholas Courtwright, Trevor Courtwright, , Keaton Courtwright, Carly Courtwright, Vince Svoboda, Zachary Widener, Grayson Widener, and Savannah Han; brothers, Terry Brown, David Brown, and Jim Brown; sister, Sue Babineaux; and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Albert Brown.
