Aunt Elda, I miss you so much! I can't believe it has been so long since I got to see your shining smile and hear your contagious laugh. You were so strong and such an inspiration to all of us - to everyone you ever met. You brought together "your girls" and created a bond that will last a lifetime. And you taught us all to love and be loved, to have strength in even the hardest situations, to find comfort and joy in everyday life, and to believe in ourselves and create our own happiness - things I will forever be grateful for. I know I missed so much being so far away these past few years, and I should have called more and I so selfishly wish I could bring you back, but I know you are in a better place now and I am so happy for that. I know I can still talk to you, and I do. And you still come to me in my dreams. The many, many memories will never fade. Thank you so much for being so many great things for all of us. Aunt Elda... Happy Birthday!! While we are all loving and missing you so so much im sure youre up there having a party and probably singing kareoke! After 13 long years I really never thought the fight would come to this but I couldnt be more proud of how tough you were and of the fight you put up! I miss so much calling and the first thing I hear being "Hi my love!" I appreciate everything you ever did  for me throughout my life! I cant even begin to explain how much it means to me that you got to meet my daughter! One day she will know ALL about you! The bond that you created for 'your girls' is unbreakable and something we will cherish for the rest of our lives!! I love you more than life itself Aunt Elda!! ?

Happy Birthday Aunt Elda, my guardian angel. I can't believe it's been over a year since I last saw your happy, bright smiling face. You taught me how to be positive in every situation, regardless of how hard it is to deal with. You taught me how to overcome my fears and how to fight for my dreams. I will forever be thankful for your influence on my life, and those around me. Thanks to you, I have four of the best friends anyone could ask for, and we will forever be 'your girls.' More than anything, I am glad you are no longer suffering and you are now in heaven enjoying peace, love and happiness. Keep watching over my Uncle Joe, your sister Ida, and the rest of the us. My dearest Aunt Elda,
 It's been a year since you were taken from us. One of the hardest years of my life. They say losing someone gets easier with time, but I don't believe this is the case. Not with you, anyway. There's not a day that goes by I don't think of you. So many things still remind me of you. Ryan and I have continued our Monday movie night tradition with Uncle Joe. Every time we cook dinner and the oven buzzer goes off, I still say "Aunt Eldas cooking again!" to myself. While we watch movies and a scary part comes on, I can still picture you covering your head but still wanting to listen. These are the memories I cherish. It saddens me thinking about my children growing up without you in their lives like I had you. You taught me so many things. Not just how to write my name and sing my ABCs, but important life lessons, too. Although my children well never get to meet you, they will still learn so much from you through what you taught me. And I know they will grow into great adults because of it. You influenced so many children in your life. I hope to become even half the mother and mentor you are. The girls and I have already started some of our traditions with Paityn, like sitting on the blue blanket for snack time. We've even found the famous "Swamp Stomp" on dvd and intend on doing it with her when she's a little older. 
 I still pick up the phone to call you when I've had a rough day, and when we're planning dinner or an outting you're always the first name on my list of people to invite. I don't think I'll ever get used to you not being around. I know you're still looking down at us though, watching us grow, getting into college, getting married, having babies. I miss you every day, but I know I'll see you again. Thank you for everything you have done for me over the past 22 years. I wouldn't be the person I am today without you. I love you forever my Angel.

Elda, tomorrow you will have been gone from our sight for 1 year.  Last night you came to me in a dream.  Sitting on a throne, your hair long and flowing. You looked SO beautiful!  I will always miss you but this dream gave me peace!

 Aunt Elda,  it has been more than 2 months now,  and I have all but  stopped thinking of  you. Today,  while at work,  my  group went to the splash pad.  seeing all of the happy children playing in the water, I  grabbed my phone and  started to take a picture. I  know I was taking the picture to show you.  when it hit me, I  nearly lost my composure. . .  but  then I remembered that I didn't need a picture to show you anymore.  You embedded in so many  of us, a  part of you-- your love is what touched me. I know that you are still with me. Uncle Joe,  Nicki  and I  are continuing our Monday night's.  if you ever see a movie you like  feel free to say hello :) we all love you dearly.   Thank you  my love.

It is hard to imagine that almost two months have gone by since you left us. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about you and often pick up the phone to talk to you. I miss our “Elda Wednesday” outings, lunches, talks and laughter.  I miss your smile and your positive outlook on life no matter what was happening. I hope you are doing okay and know that I love you and miss you very much!  I am so thankful for the times that we did have together and will cherish those memories forever!

Born August 18th 1957 The load sent one of his angels to spread love and joy to everyone she met and touched,but little did I know that this sweet lady with a very large heart would become my life,my love, my best friend.I have had the pleasure to be married to the most inspiring sweet and kind-hearted women I have ever met for 38 years,and in this time we grew to become one.That cancer couldn't separate nor destroy our love,but made our love unbreakable.This lady had the strongest will and determination.Was in pain,but did so without a whimper or complaint.This women lived for others and happily spread love and kindness to the world around her.She helped raise around 38 children with the same love and kindness to prepare them for the world.One of Elda's happest moments was a Sunday mprning listening to music,when our wedding song came on.I held her and supported her leg so we could dance to the song"May I have this dance the rest of my life."She cried of happiness and thanked me for days.These are the kind of moments my wife and I shared together, these are the kind of moments that grew our love and friendship.I want to thank Gloria and Joaquin Martinez for giving me a lady that made my life whole and complete.I also want to share my final moments with my wife. I whispered in her ear our entire life together and how much I loved her,telling her that this is not goodbye,But I will see you later.I tell her go to God, be free of pain.She acknowledged me with her last hug.That hug let me know that it was going to be ok and that she heard every word I said.Go in peace my love. Elda was so much more then an aunt to me. She was a like a second mother to me when I was a child. I have so many good memories of Aunt Elda and I am proud to say I have not one bad one. She has helped mold me into the person I am today. I remember her telling me chocolate makes everything better and as I rode in the car with her during my grandfathers funeral she fed me Hersheys kisses. She always said daiseys are happy flowers. To this day the daisy is my favorite flower. When I picture Aunt Elda in heaven she is surrounded by Daisies. These memories will always be in my heart. I love you Aunt Elda and Uncle Joe.I am sorry your not together now but know you will find each other again one day.

You were truly an Angel on Earth Elda.  You inspired anyone who came in contact with you in one way or another.  I hope these last few days has made each and every one of us more aware of how we treat one another, and that we all take something from the very special person that you are and carry it with us forever.
