

Eissa was born in Maten Al-Sahel, Syria to Tannous Houssni and Refkah Barakat on August 27, 1949. In 1970, he immigrated to the United States to further his education with help of his cousins Eva & Joe Toney.
He was a successful salesman and frequently earned salesman of the month recognition.
Eissa was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Antiochian Church and was Parish Council President for many years during the 1990’s and early 2000’s. Eissa organized many Arabic concerts to raise money for the church expansion and was instrumental in locating the land where the church was eventually built.
Eissa was a devoted Gido to his grandchildren, Kylie, Issa, Chase and Bailey. His eyes lit up at the mere mention of their names, he was very proud of each of them.
Eissa is survived by his daughters Rima and Sheza. He is also survived by his sisters, Meji and Nadima Al-Houssni, who reside in Maten Al-Sahel, Syria. He is proceeded in death by his dear brother and best friend, George (Gergos) Al-Houssni.
Eissa loved to cook and make Syrian dishes for his family. Planting flowers was a favorite hobby of his. Everyone remembers Eissa as a happy man who always had a smile on his face.
To know him was to love him, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation for Eissa will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Resurrection Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 5910 East 5th Street, Tucson, AZ 85711. Funeral service at 11:00 AM. Graveside service will then follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ 85712.
