CHAVEZ, Edward M. Born Pearce, AZ February 13, 1928, Deceased December 4, 2016. Survived by loving wife, Anita of 60 years; children, Josie Cortez and Edward Chavez Jr.; four grandchildren, Steven and Gracie Romero, Freddy Chavez, JJ Islas; eight great-grandchildren, one brother, one sister, nieces, nephews and friends. Edward joined the US Army in 1948. A Korean Veteran, retired rank of Sgt. 1st class 1968. He later worked for the US Post office, retiring in 1990. In his younger years Edward loved to play cards, shoot pool, drink, dance, gamble, music. Later he was happy being home, he was great empanada maker and cook in general. He was very proud of his home and family. Services will be held at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTH LAWN, Thursday, December 8, 2016, Visitation 10:00 a.m. with Service at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow.
