Minister Eddie Danyfield, 65 of Tucson, Arizona, transition on December 30, 2022. He was born May 4, 1957, in Tucson, Arizona. to Curnelia Foster and the late Robert Earl Dangerfield. He was preceded in death by his brother Leon Miller .
Minister Danyfield graduated from Tucson High School, he received his Bachelor’s degree from, the University of Phoenix, a Master’s degree from Grand Canyon University, and was a Doctorate candidate. His professional career included, Respiratory Therapy, Educator and CEO of Eventide, a nonprofit agency that provided job training and employment assistance. He was a strong advocate for the disenfranchised. He enjoyed playing chess with his relative and friends. He was avid chess player and song writer.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the love of his life for 36 years, Janet Rose, his niece, Jessica (Travis) Felix who was regarded as his daughter, his two grandchildren, Tavian and Bria, of Lafayette, Louisiana., his mother, Curnelia Foster, Two brothers, Gregory Reed and Ricky Reed, Tucson Az., and sister, Kimberly Ann Dangerfield of Oklahoma city, Oklahoma. He leaves to mourn his passing a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and his foster children. A loving Father and Mother-in-law, Dea. Clarence and Dicie Lock.
Minister Danyfield was a member of the Greater Emmanuel Grace Apostolic Church for 38 years. He was saved under the leadership of the late Pastor Ervin Govan. During Minister Danyfield’s ministry he held several positions within the church. His love for the Word of God enabled him to minister and teach the unadulterated Word. He was a Sunday School teacher, and President of the Men’s ministry. He enjoyed mentoring the youth. In the Gospel writings Jesus is quoted as defining greatness as “Servant-hood”. The greatest are the ones who serve. Minister Danyfield discovered this principle and embraced it.
A funeral service for Eddie will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Greater Emanuel Apostolic Church, 1850 W San Marcus, Tucson, AZ 85713. A graveside service will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A visitation will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 1850 W San Marcus, Tucson, AZ 85713.
