Douglas Alfred “Doug” Beagles, 84, of Tucson, passed away at 9:21 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Peppi’s Hospice House in Tucson. Memorial Services and interment will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Arizona Veterans’ Cemetery, 15950 North Luckett Road, in Marana, AZ, with Military Funeral Honors by the U.S. Air Force. Doug was born on December 15, 1932 in Chattanooga, TN, the son of William Frederick and Ruby I. (Rouse) Beagles. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Hagar; three sisters; and one grandson. He married Carla Jean (Emrick) Bradley on October 12, 1984 in Tucson. She survives. He is also survived by his children, Janet (Randy) Johnson of Texas, Douglas A. (Laura) Beagles of Texas, Lisa Beagles of Arizona and David (Heidi) Bradley of Arizona; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Doug enjoyed HAM Radio, playing bass guitar in country bands around the world, golfing, bowling, electronics and watching NASCAR racing. He was a military man, through and through, serving our country in the U.S. Air Force for twenty-three years, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. He served in Iceland, Turkey, Greece and Libya. He also had a second career at Hughes Aircraft, retiring after sixteen years.
