Age 83, passed away peacefully at home in Tucson, AZ on Thursday May 27, 2021 of natural causes.
Doris was born in Tulip, Arkansas, to Herbert Russell & Addie Russell. She was a graduate of Fordyce High School in Fordyce, Arkansas. She retired from the University of Arizona after serving over 35 years in the Registrar's Office.
Doris married the first love of her life William (Bill) Marvin Bell on October 25, 1958 in Fordyce, Arkansas. After Bills' passing Doris found a second love of her life William Aubrey Woods, they were married on July 28, 1990 in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
Doris loved to spoil her dog Hershey who was a loyal companion always by her side. Doris enjoyed attending fiddlers festivals, family gatherings and camping trips. She took joy in planting flowers & gardening. Doris was a passionate reader, often reading several books at a time. She also cherished her collection of tea cups and porcelain figures.
Doris was a member of Tucson First Church of God, she was a charitable supporter of Breast Cancer Research, Disabled American Veterans and the Humane Society.
Doris is survived by her children Dale Bell (Lisa), Davin Bell (Debi), Cindy Robinson (Ted), Donald Bell (Laura), Kimberly Nilsen (Lester) and Grandchildren Patrick, Robin, Dani, Brittany, Lisa, Rikki, Sara, Kathi, Davin Jr, Brandi, Michael, Edward, Jonathan, Nicole, Gabrielle, several great-grandchildren as well as her siblings Doyle Russell, Bobby Russell & Ginger Kludt.
Doris is preceded in death by her spouses William (Bill) Marvin Bell and William Aubrey Woods, her siblings Lena Phillips, Morris Russell, William Ross & her beloved dog Hershey.
Services are scheduled for:
Viewing - Monday June 7th 6:00PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary & Cemetery
Service - Tuesday June 8th at 9:30AM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary & Cemetery
The family invites you to join us after the service for a reception.
The officiant is Darlene Simpson. The pallbearers are Dale Bell, Davin Bell, Don Bell, Ted Robinson, Lester Nilsen, Michael Robinson, Davin Jr. Bell, Edward Franklin.
Place of internment is East Lawn Palms Mortuary & Cemetery in the Mausoleum. Condolences may be sent to East Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery where all arrangements are being made.
