Donald (Don) B. Lewis, Jr., passed away on Sept. 5, 2022. He was born in Tucson on Dec. 30, 1940 to Donald and Harriett (Barky) Lewis. Don is survived by his wife, Virginia (Ginnie), whom he married in 1987. Don received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. Don created and ran A Camp In Motion for 10 years, exposing teenagers to the wonders of the Western United States. He worked for 12 years at the Arizona Children’s Home, 4 years as Executive Director of Nogales Family Guidance, and 10 years as Executive Director of Hillcrest Family Services in Dubuque, Iowa. After returning to Tucson in 1999, Don created a very successful business, Don Lewis Country Collections, buying and selling worldwide stamps for 23 years. Don and Ginnie loved to travel, including adventures to China, Tibet, Thailand, Peru, Ecuador, Turkey, Russia, and 22 other European countries, as well as many countries in North and Central America. Don was a lifelong camper and fun-loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Wendy (Mike) Murray and Laurie (Craig) Robertson; two step-daughters, Amy (Brian) Glicken and Dian (Dan) Thompson; seven grandchildren, Jack, Elizabeth, Miles, Liam, Bryan, Chance, and Brett; and his sister, Diane Carey.
