Don was born to Charles Edward and Donna Dene Ashley on March 26, 1960 in Canton Illinois. His family relocated to Tucson in 1974. He embraced his new home and adored the Southwest.
Don was so good at loving people and was gifted at encouraging and motivating the people that God brought into his life. Don made you want to be better person.
He passed away from a stroke on that Saturday afternoon, June 15, 2024. He and I were together in the ER at TMC. He had the time to tell me he was not afraid and I had the time to tell him how much I loved him. He told the medical staff to “just let me go, I don’t want any heroics”. He shortly after that he had a stroke and was gone in an instant.
He is survived by his wife and four of his 10 siblings. His celebration of life will be scheduled sometime in the fall.
