Heaven gained a new angel, David Anthony Brown passed away Friday, January 15th in Tucson, AZ. He was a great Man of integrity and character, a devoted husband and loving father. After only 5 short months he is now reunited with his one and only true love and wife of 62 years, Barbara Jean Brown. Also reunited in heaven, his parents Anthony and Martha (Weichert) Brown, sister Theresa Marie Brown, brother Richard Allen Brown, father and mother in law Winfield and Irene (Kerin) Gauthier. He is survived by sister Barbara J. (Palle) Larsen, Sister in law Eileen Brown, Sister In Law Judie (Leroy) Scharkey and Brother in law Mike (Becky) Gauthier.
David was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin on December 9th, 1937. He met the love of his life, Barbara Jean Brown in Rochester, Minnesota in 1957 and they were married the following year on September 13, 1958. To this beautiful union were born five children; Ann M. (Stephen) Foreman, Terri L. Hill (Henry Nelson), Anthony D. (Mai) Brown, Timothy A. (Stefanie) Brown and Tamara J. (Antonio) Wint. 10 grandchildren Jennifer (Michael) Sander, Jason (Ashley) Kamigaki, Vanessa Brown, Jessie Brown and (Benjamin Gross), Melissa (Matthew) Wade, Michelle (Zach) Olson, Casey Brown, Joshua Hill, Austin Brown and Zane Wint. 11 great grandchildren, Caleb Sander, Nicholas Sander, Corbin Kamigaki, Gavin Kamigaki, Griffin Kamigaki, Talin Kamigaki, Jamie Sawyer, Wyatt Sawyer, Eliana Claveau, Nalini Claveau and Zaylee Olson.
David loved being in the outdoors. He loved camping and vacationing and took his family all over the United States on many adventures. Hunting and later in life golfing, were great passions in his life. Indeed, he and his wife lived on a golf course in Tucson and he was able to go golfing right up until a month before he passed. He had a great sense of humor and was quick witted, if you were not paying attention his Midwestern charm may send a clever comment right over your head.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Del Lago Golf Club, 14155 E. Via Rancho Del Lago, Vail, AZ 85641 at a future date, TBD.
