Connie was born July 26th, 1939 to Jose & Juanita Miranda, in Nogales, AZ. Connie graduated from Nogales High School in 1959. She went on to study cosmetology in San Pedro, CA. After earning her license, Connie went on to practice cosmetology in San Pedro for 7 years.
In 1960, Connie met her husband, Hector Arevalo, in San Pedro. They were married in 1961. They went on to have five children, Mary Jane (Tim) Pringle, Becky (Jesse Pinedo) Arevalo, Rachael (Didi) Galindo, Danny and (Little) Hector.
Connie and her family moved to Tucson in 1967. After moving to Tucson, Connie changed her career to helping service the needs of local school districts. This included the transportation of children and working in the food service areas for the schools. She went on to become the head cook for the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, where she dedicated 10 years of selfless service.
Connie retired in the mid 1990’s, but went on to work for a short time in the K-Mart bakery. Connie enjoyed going to the movies, camping, and lunadas. Most of all, Connie loved cooking for and spending time with her family.
Connie was predeceased by her parents, Jose & Juanita, brothers Jimmy Miranda, Alberto Miranda, Sergio Miranda and sister Norma Bracamonte.
She is survived by her former husband, Hector Arevalo, sister, Machi Carmona; her grandchildren Nathan Arevalo, Ryan Pringle, Karina Gonzalez, Jessica Pringle, Julissa Galindo, Brianna Romero, Ashlee Galindo, Jesstin Arevalo, Aiden Galindo, Danny Arevalo; and 9 great grandchildren, whom she loved with all of her heart!
Services will be held at South Lawn Mortuary on January 7th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Beacon Group (www.beacongroup.org) or the Cerebral Palsy Foundation (www.yourcparf.org), two organizations Connie felt strongly about.
