Charles (Charley) Norman Kessler passed away peacefully at age 72 on May 23, 2017, under hospice care, in his ranch home in Amado, Arizona. With Charley was his special girl, Sue (“Angel”) Wienholtz Charley settled in Tucson in 1975 where he built a ranch and boarded horses (his passion), while also pursuing a career in auto sales. Charley had fond memories of his boyhood in Lambertville, Michigan, remaining loyal to Detroit Tigers. In Tucson, Charley lived the life of a cowboy, following rodeo’s and “honky-tonks,” while raising a family.
Charley is predeceased by his son, Kevin and Kevin’s wife, Michelle (Godfrey), as well as parents Verl (Buck) and Mary (McGee) Kessler. Surviving are daughters Tracy Kessler (Joe Valenti) and son Tyson Kessler and his wife, Monica and daughter Tara Kessler; granddaughters & grandson; Breanna McMillan (Justine) and Alissa (Jason) Ryan; Chance and his fiancé, Taylor Shayne; Cassidy (Jesse) Martinez, great-grandchildren Ava Ryan, Brody Martinez. Also surviving are Charley’s brothers Max (Connie) Kessler, Jack (Charline) Kessler and Rick (Nettie) Kessler. Charley will also be missed by his cousins and his many friends.
A celebration of Charley’s life will be held June 9th at the American Legion Post #66 from 1:00-4:00pm. Services start at 1:30pm 1560 W. Duval Mine Rd., Green Valley, AZ 85645.
