Charles P. “Chuck” Hoffmann took his last breath, and entered eternity with our Lord and savior on Saturday, February 4th, 2023, among his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 happy years, Sue Hoffmann, as well as his son Wayne, daughter-in-law Cheryl, grandchildren Kurtis (Mikayla), Kristina (Brett), Kasandra (Nicholas), Bonnie (Aaron), Jaimie, Nicole (John), Rebekah (Chris), and his 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son Bobby, daughter-in-law Rebekah, parents, brother, sister, and other beloved family members. He was a devoted family man, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and cherished him.
Chuck was born and raised in New Jersey, before enlisting in the Air Force and serving 21 proud years. He was a postmaster, and served in his church and community for many years alongside the love of his life, Sue. Following his honorable discharge, Chuck worked with his son, and daughter-in-law starting a successful business in steel fabrication.
How do you sum up a beautiful life? You can’t; it takes a lifetime to do that, but you can say Chuck will always be recalled as: fun, present, having an outstanding sense of humor, his love of gardening, being an avid bowler, a nurturing and kind man, who was firm in his beliefs and when he needed to be. He lived a life well loved. He will be remembered in the swift wings of every majestic bird of prey, and the thunder of a jet overhead.
Services for Chuck will be held at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn on February 17th, 2023. A Public Visitation will be held at 10:00am, a public service at 11:00am to 12:00pm, followed by a Graveside service and Burial at 12:00pm, and a luncheon to follow.
