Preceded in death by her grandmother Norma Quintero, grandparents Irma Beatriz and Manuel Perez Sr. and Uncle Cesar Perez. Survived by loving parents Angie and Arturo Avalos, her brother Memo Perez, and sisters Lisa Perez and Natalia Avalos. She is also survived by her nephews Joshua and Isaiah Sanchez, and her niece Analisia Perez. Also included are her Aunts Marisa (Juan) Corral, Leticia Perez, and Patricia Montiel, and by Uncles Manuel and John Perez, and Uncles Fernando, Gabriel, and David Lopez.
Celina is further survived by her “brother cousin” Stan Earl, her sister cousins (and partners in crime) Victoria (Pete Nino) Perez, Esperanza (Flavio) Silvas, Christina Sosa, and Irma Camacho. There are so many more cousins, nieces, and nephews to mention, but all were so very loved by Celina.
Family was the most important thing in Celina’s life. Her love and patience with “all the kids” was remarkable. She was the nice Tia, the cool Tia. There was not one mean bone in her body. Although she did not have much, she was the most generous person. Celina would do almost anything for her family and friends, be it babysitting, giving rides, or simply giving someone a shoulder to cry on.
Celina was not just the life of the party- she WAS the party. She was funny and loud, her laugh infectious and could be heard a block away. The oldest of four children, Cel took it upon herself to care and protect her siblings. She looked after Josh and Isaiah as if they were her own. And oh how she loved her mama and pops! She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Tucson Medical Center, especially the doctors and nurses in the Intensive Care Unit. A special thanks to Melissa and Russ.
Rest now my Monchichi. My only comfort is that you are free from pain.
I love you more- more than you will ever know.
Your Mama
