Candace “Candy” Shirley, November 11, 1947 to November 30, 2017, was our loving sister & friend, of Sahuarita, Arizona. She is now with our Heavenly Father, nineteen days after turning 70, from a heart attack. Candy had an avid appetite, was a definite “Foodie” and LOVED cooking. She enjoyed tennis (esp. observing!), traveling and especially loved her three-wheel motorcycles. She was always planning her next trip with Jimmy Collins, her love and boyfriend of over ten years. She enjoyed hiking, biking and scuba diving (especially Cayman Brac). She gave back to her community while caring for seniors & reading to children. Candy’s lifelong career was in the Civil Service, stationed in England, and retired in 2007. Those who worked or played with Candy loved her personable nature. This world will forever be touched and enhanced by Candy’s 70 Magnificent years. Candy is survived by her brother, Paul “Rusty” Shirley, Jr. of Orlando, Florida/Colorado Springs, Colorado and her sister, Isabel “Iddy” Shirley of Paso Robles, California. Candy and Jimmy attended the Desert Hills Lutheran Church, in Sahuarita. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Heart Association or Humane Society.
