Betty was born and raised as an only child in Davenport, Iowa to Mother Vera Edens and Father Frank Chandler.
On New Year's Eve 1945 she met her soon to be husband Earl E. Davis at a dance. On New Years Eve 1946 Earl proposed to Betty and she said yes. New Year's Eve 1947 Betty wore a purple dress and they were wed. Betty worked as a seamstress and homemaker. July 19th 1961 Betty and Earl had their only child Robert L. Davis. 1985 Betty and Earl retired to warmer weather in Tucson Arizona and to be close to Earls sister Grace.
During retirement Betty enjoyed her crafts needle point, sewing, painting and flower arrangements. She always had a soft spot in her heart for animals. Her favorite charity being the ASPCA. She passed away August 22, 2016 with her family by her side son (Robert Davis), daughter in law (Kathy Davis) and granddaughter (Amanda Davis). Grandma you were my advice giver, seamstress, pie maker, shoulder, mentor, confidant, problem solver, words of wisdom, cheerleader, hug giver, healer, inspiration, chef, counseled and best friend. I love you and miss you already.
