Barbara Schellie Wien

Barbara is survived by her husband of 59 years, Terry D. Wien; two daughters, Laurie Wien (John Buckentine) and Linda Yturralde (Steve); three grandchildren, Michael Pelton (Ashley), Kyle Pelton, and Lindsay Wien Buckentine; and a brother, Peter Schellie (Anne). She has two nieces, Susan Schellie Olin (Bryan; son Jackson), and Katherine Hodges (Sheldon) and two nephews, Scott Schellie (Renee) and David Schellie. First cousins are Leslie Schellie-Harshman (Karl), Kendall Schellie Daniels (Paul; daughters Morgen and Ciara) and Kristi Wright (Jeff). Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Schellie, Jr. and cousin Coralee Schellie.

Barbara graduated from Stephens College, Columbia, MO with an AA Degree followed by a BA Degree in English Literature from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was actively involved in the Tucson-based business she and Terry owned and operated since 1988. Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends, travel to Norway and England, going to the theater and relaxing in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. She is known by all for her kindness, tenacious spirit, zest for life, spirited sense of humor and propensity to tell it like it is.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 24th, 2018, at East Lawn Palms Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org or 1-800-227-2345.
