Heavenly Anniversary: September 2, 2022
Barbara Ann Bacoccini was born to Catherine and Vincent Whelan in South Ozone Park, New York and was the fourth of seven children. Barbara relocated to Tucson, AZ in 1982 and, shortly after, met the love of her life, Reed Bacoccini. Together they raised their beautiful children: Cristinna, Jennifer, Joshua and John.
She was called by many names, but her favorite of all was Nana. Her heart was full of love and pride for all of her ‘kids’, especially her grandchildren: Christian (Mercedes), Ryan (Marla), Michael, Zachary, Kiersten (Anthony), Dylan M., Esteban, Dylan B., Evyn, Loren, Eric, Cody, Zane, Ariah and Anixa. She continued to love on her great-grands: Jo-Jo, Savannah, Julissa and J-J. And, her fur-baby: Apollo
Barbara did everything with passion and lived life to the fullest. Her number one love was always Family. She was spiritual and a guiding force in life. She loved all things Disney, travelling, sports, her job, her coworkers and working out. She was funny without even trying and could always bring a quick smile to one’s face with her bad puns, made-up songs and story-telling. She left this World suddenly on September 2, 2022 and was brought to her Eternal Reward by her parents and brother, Dennis, who preceded her. She leaves behind her loving husband, kids, sisters, brother, sister-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews and a great deal of friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 9 a.m. on September 21st under the direction of Funeraria del Angel South Lawn & South Lawn Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at noon at Reid Park.
Barbara’s brilliant light will never dim and she’ll be the brightest star in Heaven.
