Aubrey Grace Jones, known affectionately as Aubs, passed away on September 11, 2023, in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 20. Born on November 27, 2002, in Tucson, Aubrey brought vibrancy, love, brilliance, and talent to the lives of those around her. She was a vivacious and free-spirited individual who will be deeply missed.
Aubrey's love for working with and advocating for children led her to a fulfilling job , most recently as a paraprofessional at Catalina Foothills High School, where she dedicated herself to supporting special needs students. Her nurturing nature and genuine care touched the lives of many.
Outside of her work, Aubrey had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She loved to dance, write, create art, and play the guitar. These creative outlets allowed her to express her innermost emotions and showcase her artistic talents.
Aubrey's educational journey included attending San Simon School, Willcox High School and also pursuing higher education at Cochise College.
Aubrey's memory will forever be cherished by her parents, Jason and Carrie Jones, her sister Chloe Diaz (Daniel), her brothers Karsten, Dalton, and sister Ella Jones, her grandparents Chuck and Nina Bullard, her aunt Mareya Bullard, her grandmother Linda Jones, her aunt Karen Lotz (Jason), her aunts Angie Jones and Katie Jones, her aunt Donna Summers, her nephew Mateo Diaz, her niece Elena Diaz, her great-grandmother Barbara Fisher and many cousins and loving family. She was preceded in death by her sister Ava Jones and her grandfather Steve Jones, as well other aunts, uncles and great grandparents.
A ceremony to honor and celebrate Aubrey's life will take place on Saturday, September 30th, at 1:00 pm at East Lawn Cemetery in Tucson, Arizona. The compassionate staff at East Lawn Cemetery is assisting with the arrangements.
Aubrey's vibrant spirit and loving presence will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, a passion for championing social injustices, creativity, and a fierce love for family. May she rest in peace.
