April Dawn Sartain-La Grange

The firstborn of 4 children. April was born April 14th, 1984 to Steve and Carrie (Holgate) Sartain in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1997 the family relocated to Winslow, Arizona. April graduated from Winslow High School in 2002. She then went to Grand Canyon University where she graduated with her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. April worked for Joseph City School District for 17 years as a faithful and dedicated teacher. She wasn’t yet a mother, but she was a mother to all her students that crossed her path.

April was very strong in her faith and loved the Lord with all of her heart. In her spare time April enjoyed spending time with her husband, her mom, her brother, sisters, and family. April loved playing games, watching her favorite shows, and listening to her favorite band: BTS.

April is preceded in death by her father Steve Sartain and is survived by her husband Aaron La Grange, her grandma Fran Sartain, her mother Carrie (Holgate) Sartain, siblings: Jill Sartain, Kelli Sartain, and Jacob Sartain, as well as many Uncles, Aunts, and cousins.

April's Celebration of Life will be April 29th @ 11am in Joseph City, AZ at the Joseph City High School Auditorium.
