Albert Warner Jr was 90 years old when he died in Tucson. Albert knew what he wanted to do in life which was to become a mechanical engineer. He attended the following schools, Carrillo Elementary, Safford Jr. High and Tucson High. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1943 and came out as a 2nd Lieutenant after WWII. He graduated from The University of Arizona as a Mechanical Engineer and was a member of Theta Tau Fraternity. Albert was the Vice President of Operations at Alamito Power Co. where he finished the start-up of that power plant. Prior to that, he was the Manager of Power Production at T.E.P and worked for Combustion Engineering where he started up the first boiler at De Moss Petrie power plant in Tucson.
Albert comes from an Arizona pioneer family. His great grandfather, Solomon Warner settled here in 1856; serving on the Tucson Pima Territory Council. His great grandfather was the first merchant to sell American goods in Tucson and he built his home and flour mill, by Warner’s Lake; below A mountain.
Albert was also related to Antonio Comaduran, a Spanish presidio officer through his grandmother; Encarnación Comadurán. Albert’s grandfather Joaquin Burruel was a scout who helped to capture Geronimo and his clan. His father also homesteaded Cocoraque Cattle Ranch in Avra Valley.
Albert’s greatest legacy was being married to our mother, Elaine Warner for 58 years and being the best provider and father to his family. We are so grateful to have such a father.
Al is preceded in death by his parents Albert Warner Sr., Beatrice Burrell Warner, his wife Elaine, his sister Elva, her husband Colonel Dick Taylor, his brother’s Cornelius and Edgar Warner, his first grandson Justin Bounds and his great grandchild Natalie Dacus.
His surviving family includes Kevin and Lois Warner, their daughter’s Echo and Lauren Warner, and Sarah and her husband Octavio Rodriguez, his daughter Elizabeth and her husband Jerome Beattie and son Nicolas Dacus. His youngest daughter Catherine Warner and her daughter Charity Amaral also survive.
He has eight great grandchildren, Jake Taylor, Nicole and Claire Dacus, Noah and Bridgette Di Angilo, Octavio, Rose and Lily Rodriguez and Ayja and Luna.Amaral. He also has two great- great granddaughters Ava and Elena Taylor.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 13 at 6 PM, with a Rosary at 7PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 10 AM, at Santa Cruz Catholic Church, 1220 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85713. Committal will be at East Lam Palms Cemetery following Funeral Service.
