Loving brother of Laura A. Wilson and loving brother in-law of the late H. Wilson. He is also survived by a host of loving family and friends.
Mr. Sweeney is a 1977 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with BS in business, and more recently completed a 12-level Spanish language course. He was sole owner of an Atlanta restaurant delivery service, Carry Out Couriers, in the 1990’s, but spent most of his life managing multi-screen movie theatres in metro Atlanta communities, Birmingham, and Conyers, GA. An avid history buff, Mr. Sweeney often traveled internationally.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA, where a celebration of life memorial service will begin at 12 noon. A private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to: Diabetes Association, The American Heart Association, or ones’ favorite charity.
