I am so saddened by this news. I did not know  I would love  to have visited her again she is my fondest memory of Atlanta. I visited her on Durant Street and her hospitality wit and loveliness lifted my spirit God give her rest and peace 

I have just become aware of Sonya's passing, which deeply saddens me. I have many treasured memories of Sonya. from "back in the day." Her graciousness was unparalleled, and I will never forget her many kindnesses. Sonya was a brilliant, gifted, and lovely human being. May she rest in peace and may her family be comforted by their fond memories of Sonya.
