She is survived by her twin sister, Joanne G. Wilson of Stone Mountain, and her younger brother, Kyle L. Gibb of Decatur. She is also survived by her nephew, Brandon Gibb (and family) of New York, and her aunt, Mrs. Ede Baldrige of Wilmington, NC. Ms. Watson is also survived by many friends and former co-workers. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Wade Watson, her mother and father, James B. and Helen W. Gibb., her older brother, James B. Gibb, Jr., and her aunt, Inez “Kempie” Dunn.
Ms. Watson graduated from Towers High School in 1968, and received an Associate Degree from DeKalb College in 1972. She was a diligent hard worker, having first retired from a 20+ year career in the heavy equipment rental business at Burch-Lowe, and most recently, retiring from a 20+ year career at NAPA, working at the central distribution warehouse in Norcross. She inherited the love of automobiles from her father, and was a lifelong Ford person!
“Trish” was an avid NASCAR fan for many years, having followed the careers of Dale Jarrett, Carl Edwards, and Chase Elliott with great interest. She was also an ardent fan of the Kansas City Chiefs (Go Mahomes!), and loved to debate why her quarterback should be considered the best of all time. She loved cats, having had several over her lifetime, and devoted herself to watching over and caring for every stray she met.
A celebration of life service for Ms. Watson will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that you make donations in Ms. Watson’s name to Capstone Hospice of Peachtree Corners, GA or the Sunrise Senior Living Center of Decatur, GA.
