She was born to Oscar and Ofelia Ramirez on November 26th, 1952 in Camaguey, Cuba. She moved to the United States in 1972 with her parents and brother Oscar Ramirez. She later met her husband, Wilfre Garcia. Together, they had one child: Maggie Garcia.
She was a strong woman who helped anyone in need. She gave all of herself to everyone that she loved, especially her 4 grandchildren Marileysis, Santos, Yaselyn and Talia. She picked them up from school, helped with Spanish homework, told them stories and constantly hugged them.
She was exceptional and meaningful to many. She went above and beyond to help anyone. In addition to all that she did for her family, she kept in touch with friends and family outside of Georgia and abroad. She was happiest on the dance floor dancing to Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Cumbia.
She leaves behind her daughter; Maggie Wade (Tamir), grandchildren; Marileysis, Santos, Yaselyn and Talia. Brother; Oscar Ramirez. Nephews; Alejandro and Enrique (Lashonda); grand-niece (Gwendolyn) and aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
An intimate gathering will be held for the family.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.floralhillsfuneral.com for the Garcia family.
