Kyong Hui Chun, 81 years of age, transitioned peacefully on December 13, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. A supportive and devoted wife, she was the true soulmate for her surviving husband of 57 years. She was viewed by her 4 daughters as their guiding light: the "Great Encourager" that never failed to provide support, and wisdom. With a child-like demeanor and an undeniably strong, yet gentle presence, she was adored by her 5 grandchildren.
In a time when it is very uncommon, she attended one of the most prestigious universities in South Korea. After moving to the United States in 1967, she worked tirelessly at her job while simultaneously raising 4 young girls. A testament to both her intelligence and acumen, she helped build the family jewelry business of 30 years.
While she was small in stature, she was nevertheless fearless and provided a pillar of strength due to her deep faith in God. Her sharp wit and perpetual smile were contagious, providing joy and laughter to all of those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation for Kyong will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084, followed by a Celebration of Life from 2:00 PM.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.floralhillsfuneral.com for the Chun family.
