Josefina Torres Mata was born in Jalisco, Mexico in September 13, 1935. She left Mexico in late 1970 to live in Atlanta,Ga. with her husband Euphanio A. Mata. She was a loving, caring daughter, mother, and wife. She leaves behind six beautiful children she loved and cared for very much. She raised them always being positive on life and doing things right no matter the circumstances because she was very close to God and the Catholic church. She was a very hard working woman for many years. She leaves behind 18 grandkids and 19 great-grandkids that she loved very much.
This poem sums up the feelings she would have wanted to leave behind:
" I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways to happy times, and laughing times, and bright and sunny days, I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when life is done."
