Jane Goehring is survived by her oldest son Steven J. Goehring of Hoschton, Georgia, and her youngest son Louis A. Goehring, III of Woodstock, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her husband,
Louis A. Goehring, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, and her daughter Sandra Kay Wilson, of St. Louis, Missouri.
Jane Goehring was born on December 18, 1925, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to parents George Elbron Chenoweth and Cora Edith Chenoweth. She graduated from Indiana University in 1947 with a degree in Education. She worked as an elementary school teacher in Indiana and Georgia for many years before working in retail before retirement.
Jane was a great family woman and loving mother. She married Louis A. Goehring, Jr. in 1950 and the couple had three children together, Steve, Sandra and Louie.
Jane was a social woman who was very active in the Methodist Church her entire life. Multiple of her ancestors were Methodist ministers. She enjoyed raising her family and teaching, and after retirement she enjoyed travel and sang and played bells in the church choir. She was a lifelong bridge player with great skill. Her family will remember her as a nurturing person who loved time with her family.
