He was skilled in woodworking, picture matting and filled his house with his own artwork. An avid gardener, he preferred to spend his time outdoors. He described the outdoors as his heaven and filled it with ladybugs.
Though at times shy, Ian could just as easily be the life of the party and fill a room with laughter. He was a loyal son, brother and friend. A dog and cat lover he filled his home with his best friends. He was a loving and romantic husband who constantly surprised his wife with creative and thoughtful gestures. His strength and will through the past several years was an inspiration to many.
