He was born in Albany, GA the son of the late Harry and Alta DeVane Malone.
Ken attended Albany High School where he participated in the chorus and band.
He attend Georgia Tech and graduated with an engineering degree.
Ken was a 1st Lt. in the US Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.
He worked as Director of Technical Systems at Hartsfield Airport retiring after 30 years.
He was a member of Embry Hills United Methodist Church, formerly a member of Briarcliff UMC and enjoyed participating in choir.
Ken had a passion for sailing and was the ultimate Do It Yourselfer.
He was preceded in death by his father Harry, his mother Alta, and his step mother Avis.
Survivors include his wife of 62 yrs, Bonnaleta; his daughter, Pam Malone; his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Estelle Malone; his grandsons, Kyle Malone and Christian Malone; and his half-brother Gene Morehead and his wife Kathy.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Susan Grady officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Talent Development program or your favorite charity.
