I just learned of Gordon's passing. I met Gordon and his lovely wife Mary three years ago. 
Gordon always had a smile on his face and would always greet you with a firm handshake. He often spoke of how proud of his son he was and how happy he was to have met Mary. I am saddened to hear of his passing but so thankful to have met him.  You will be missed buddy. I will be sure to look out for Mary.

It took a while after Gordon's passing to be able to realize his impact on my life.  Gordon's spirit is still touching me daily as I confront situations which relate to our working together.  Our relationship as brothers in Christ has had eternal reprocussions.  I am so thankful that the Lord put us together for several years to help maintain properties and to pray and fellowship in the Body of Christ.  May God's desire, exhibited through Gordon's heart's desire to be one with Christ, be expressed through those who came close to Gordon during his visit here on earth.

Gordon worked for me as a carpenter many years ago in ATL and he and his friends knew what my truck looked like.  I was a attending a Larry Burkett seminar in a rented facility below a bar with dozens of other Christians and Gordy and his friends passed by and saw my truck there.  They got out of there vehicle and were ready to snatch me out of the fire at the bar, until they found out where I actually was.  This man was a genuine believer whom I loved.  In addition he and his friends moved my family when no one else would help us.  We also visited the church once.  I think of you often Gordon, I'll see you soon.  Rick Edwards

To the Van Der Noord family, I am SO sorry to hear of Gordon's passing but he is Home now!  My wife Linda & I met he & Jan in 1970 @ Bethany Reformed Church in Redlands,CA. while he was on staff w/Campus Crusade 4 Christ.  We lost track of him in early 70's & heard he had gone 2 Bosman, Montana.  Recently found him on Facebook, emailed him & rec'd a response saying he had just come Would b very grateful 2 hear this precious man's story since Bosman. The Lord gave me a brother that became one of my dearest friend on earth. Now he is gone leaving a great void in my heart but praise the Lord ,his words to me always 'we trust in the Lord'. bro. Gordy i will miss you with much tears until i see you again.

Brother Gordon became like family to us during the two years he served with us here at Engedi. He was one who was never ashamed of the gospel. We will miss him, but know that we will see him again in the New Jerusalem. Much grace to you Ron, Meredith, Rick and Lynn. Please know that we  will keep in touch with Marybelle. She knows that we are available to her at anytime. Praise the Lord for our faithful and dear brother!

Brad and I loved Gordy as a brother in the Lord and a brother in our own family. He would always tell me not to be anxious, but to take everything to the Lord. (Phil.4:6) His big smile at my kitchen table radiated his love for God and humanity. Praise the Lord for Gordy's testimony.

We are so sorry to hear aout Uncle Gordys passing. What an amazing sweet kind man he was. He always was smiling and happy to be working for the Lord.

In Gordy I witnessed so many aspects of the Lord's life from hymn #505 lived out. Loving, tender, strong and in vigor. Buoyant! Patient, joyful and radiant. His big grin was contagious. I look forward to seeing that grin again in a new age.
