journey to the Angels painlessly in his sleep. George is survived by his brother, Raymond Bonito. His son,
Michael Bonito and daughter Colleen Adams. He was blessed with three grandchildren: Austin Adams,
Avery Adams and Sebastian Bonito. He recently had the joy of meeting his great-grandson, Eason Adams.
George was born in Medford, Massachusetts on December 20th, 1942 to Peter and Rita Bonito.
Entering the Air Force at 18, he attended night classes to achieve his High School diploma. After
graduating, he enrolled in the College of the Air Force for his Associate degree. While caring for his
family, he attended weekend and night classes to achieve his Bachelors degree from the University of
Southern Colorado. He would then go on to obtain both a Master of Science and a Master of Business
degree.
He retired honorably from the Air Force and continued a long career in computer programming
and analysis. He worked for General Dynamics, American Software, and Delta Technologies before
retiring from his life behind the keyboard. In his retirement, he used his free time to begin his career
helping others.
George started by selling life insurance, then became deeply involved with helping the blind
through the Lions Club. He spent many years dedicated to helping others through many organizations
including the Elks, the Paralympics, and Prison Outreach Ministries.
George was a people person. His favorite thing in the world was a good conversation. He loved
people, and he especially loved helping them. George derived great satisfaction in feeling that another
human being had been helped up, either physically or spiritually. His love also extended to his dogs as
well. He had many spoiled fur babies over the years.
His funeral is scheduled for Tuesday November 12, 2024 at 11 AM. The viewing and reception
will be from 11 AM to 2 PM. His service will begin at 2 PM. George will be laid to rest at the Canton
National Cemetery. The formal Military ceremony will be for the immediate family only.
